Originally by: Scrapjack I've been searching for a few minutes to an hour at a time for the last month and I'm not confident that I've determined either way whether my system will run Apocrypha or not. I've got roughly two weeks before my subscription is up for renewal, and apparently a month (Mar 10th?) before Apocrypha is launched, I need to have a solid answer before my renewal comes around.
I've got the results of the hardware information utility which comes with Eve on Ubuntu here.

I really don't have time to sift out answers from people who just want to lie to me and laugh later, so if you're not some sort of CCP official please don't be offended when I don't thank you, unless of course you've posted links to definitive information posted by an official.
If you are running wine, and provided they don't break something horribly (we'll have a better idea on monday, they are putting Apocrypha content on SISI), you should be able to run EVE. This information is based on the idea that your video card will support the premium lite content (it is integrated into the same client, just change some settings) and based on the fact that wine already supports DX9c anyway - so theorectically you could run the full premium client. If you are planning to run the official client, well your guess is as good as mine ... there has been NO WORD, NO CONTACT, NO MENTION OF ANYTHING concerning the official linux client from anyone who is even a cousin's roommate's best-friend's brother-in-law of someone who once visited the CCP building -- much less someone who works for CCP.
If you are concerned, I would suggest trying to get things running on SISI over the next week and see if you can still play. ________________________
